Famous Place in Jhapa Nepal

 Nepal is a small country, which lies in southern Asia. It has an area of 1, 47, 181 square kilometers. The elevation ranges from 58 to 8,848 meters above sea level at the top of Everest.

Jhapa District Jhapa District is the district located in the Southeastern part of Nepal. It has an area of 1, 606 square kilometers. It lies in province 1.

The Eastern and Southern parts of the district share boundary with West Bengal and the Indian state of Bihar. The Northern and Western boundaries of the district touch with Ilam and Morang District Nepal. The lowest elevation of Nepal lies in Jhapa District.

1. Satasidham


Satasidham is located in the lap of the Sivalik range. It lies around four kilometers north of the Mahindra highway. It lies in the Shivasatakshi Municipality Nepal. There is the beautiful temple of Lord Shiva, Majestic waterfall, and tranquility of nature in this place.


2. Domukha


Domukha is one of the pristine places to venture into the Jhapa district. This is due to the thrilling natural beauty innate. It lies a few kilometers north of the Mahindra highway. This place is also one of the majestic picnic spots.

3. Kotihome


This is one of the religious places of the Jhapa district. It lies in adjoining the Kankai River. The beautiful temple is often visited by thousands of pious visitors.

4. Kankai River


Kankai river is one of the beautiful rivers situated in the mid of the Jhapa district. It originates from Mai Pokhari located in the Ilam district. Kankai river or Kankai Mai is one of the popular destiny of pious Hindu.

The catchment of this river is Kanchenjunga mountain. This is also the popular cremation ground for the Hindus. Further, people worship and pray at the bank of the Holy Kankai River.

5. Dhanuskoti Dham


Dhanuskoti Dham is located in proximity to Domukha. This is also one of the famous picnic spots of the Jhapa District. It was inaugurated by the Social Worker Mr. Trilochan Uprety.

Arjundhara is also the most popular place in Jhapa. Due to massive funding and peculiar history, this temple receives a significant amount of visitors on a daily basis.

7. Charali Pau Pathivara


Charali Pathivara is one of the beautiful places to visit. Despite being open a few years ago this temple is worth visiting.

8. Suspension Bridge


The suspension bridge that connects Dhanuskoti Dham and Domukha attract a significant Number of Tourist traffic. This is due to the grandiose sceneries present here.
